How many homes had offer deadlines last week!? 🤯

Welcome to the Urban Living Weekly, a newsletter from a boutique real estate brokerage keeping your finger on the pulse of Seattle and Eastside real estate.

I couldn’t believe that last week 42% of new listings in Seattle had offer review deadlines. Last year, we never had a week with a percentage that high (though a couple were close!) and it wasn’t until May that there was a week over 40%. With the home-buying season kicking off last week, now that March is here, and mid-winter break is behind us, it feels like this year is going to be hotter than last year…

Though some deals are out there! Friday we gave keys to our clients who bought a never-lived-in penthouse at Nexus. Last listed at $1,574,900 we got it down to $1,390,000 with a $25,000 credit.

OUR TAKE
Buyers be patient; but good time for sellers

Buyers: buyers should be patient, the home-buying season is just getting started.

Sellers: you should list sooner rather than later to take advantage of low competition from other sellers and seemingly many eager buyers.
